Life OS is a household finance and life-management app operated by REBCO AI ("we", "us"). This page explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled.

Who this is for

Life OS does not offer public sign-up. Accounts are created only by the owner of a household or business workspace, for people they know personally — family members, a household helper, or business collaborators. If you're using Life OS, someone you know invited you or set up your account directly.

What we collect

  • Account info: a username and display name you or the workspace owner chose. No email address is required to sign in.
  • Financial data you enter: transactions, amounts, categories, merchant names, budgets, account nicknames and (if you choose to add them) bank account or card numbers, savings goals, and debts.
  • Optional content: receipt photos you attach to a transaction, notes you write, and journal or wellbeing entries if your workspace uses those features.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, timestamps) generated by normal web traffic, kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • We don't use your financial data to serve ads — there are no ads in Life OS.
  • We don't require or use social sign-on, so no data is exchanged with Google, Facebook, or similar identity providers.

Where your data lives

Life OS runs on infrastructure we operate and control directly, rather than a third-party SaaS platform. Your data is stored in a Postgres database we host, isolated per workspace so that other households or businesses using the same Life OS instance cannot see it.

Optional AI features

If your workspace has AI features enabled (for example, categorizing an expense or the chat assistant), the specific content you submit for that action — a merchant name, a question you type — is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. It is not sent for any action you don't take, and it isn't used to train third-party AI models.

Security

Access to your data is enforced at the database level, scoped to your workspace and account — other users, even other members of your own workspace with a restricted role, only see what they're permitted to. Bank account and card numbers are encrypted at rest — even with direct database access, they aren't stored as readable text.

Your choices

You can edit or delete most of your own data directly in the app. You can permanently delete your account and everything exclusively tied to it from Settings → Danger zone. Records that belong to a shared workspace (like a joint transaction another household member can see) stay for the household but are no longer attributed to you. To request anything this page doesn't cover — including a full data export — contact us at hello@rebco.io.

Children

Life OS is intended for adults managing household or business finances and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we'll update this page and change the date above.
